IDAHO har til formål at sætte fokus på den homo-, bi- og transfobi - i hvilken form, det end er - vi møder i vores dagligdag.

Det globale initiativ kommer fra Canada, der i 2003 afholdt en national dag mod homofobi, og det har siden spredt sig, så det nu er et internationalt initiativ med markeringer i flere lande verden over.

I Danmark markeres initiativet af et samarbejde af flere organisationer og grupper med LGBT Ungdom - ungdomsafdelingen under LGBT Danmark (Landsforeningen for bøsser, lesbiske, biseksuelle og transpersoner) som initiativtager.

Vi ønsker at gøre folk opmærksomme på, at der stadig diskrimineres mod LGBT-personer, nationalt såvel som internationalt.

IDAHO aims to highlight the homos-, bi- and transphobia - in what form it may take - we meet in our daily lives.

It's a global initiative originating from Canada, who in 2003 organized a national day against homophobia, and it has since spread, so it is now an international initiative with events in several countries worldwide.

In Denmark we mark the initiative through a collaboration of several organizations and groups with LGBT Youth - Youth Department of the LGBT Denmark (National Association of Gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people) as initiator.

We want to make people aware that there is still discrimination against LGBT people nationally and internationally.
